Screen Shot 13 of 20: Setting Model Properties: Protection
- xlWorkbench builds on and enhances Excel's standard protection scheme.
- With xlWorkbench, you set properties once to indicate whether the workbook
and sheets should be protected. Then you let xlWorkbench handle the
unprotecting and re-protecting of each item for you.
- In xlWorkbench, the workbook and all sheets of a model are
automatically
unprotected when you set a model to design mode. With all
items
unprotected, you can edit and revise the workbook efficiently.
- When you set a model to run mode, xlWorkbench automatically re-protects
items as indicated by your run mode property settings.
- Instead of the constant hassle of unprotecting and re-protecting, you
manage xlWorkbench's protection behavior by setting a single password
that controls access to your model's design mode.
