System Options

Activate system automatically at startup
- Select this option to activate the xlWorkbench system immediately after
the xlWorkbench add-in has finished loading.
- If you work in the xlWorkbench workspace most of the time, rather than the
standard Excel environment, selecting this option saves you from having to
activate xlWorkbench manually.
- If you want complete control over when xlWorkbench is activated, unselect
this option and use the System Toggle to activate xlWorkbench
manually.
Show confirmation message before printing
- Select this option to show a message box which asks you
to confirm any print or preview operation.

When you open or save a workbook in xlWorkbench, you can use either the
standard Excel dialog box or a special System Dialog
Box. The System
Dialog Boxes make it easy to use a System File Extension in the names of
your xlWorkbench models.
File Open
- Always Show Excel - Choose this option to show the standard Excel dialog box.
- Always Show System - Choose this option to show the System Dialog box. The System
Dialog Box automatically uses
the System File Extension to present workbooks that are formatted for use
with xlWorkbench.
- Ask Before Showing - Choose this option to show a message box that
asks you which dialog box to use as you begin to open a file.
File Save As
- Always Show Excel - Choose this option to show the standard Excel dialog box.
- Always Show System - Choose this option to show the System Dialog
Box. The System Dialog Box automatically
saves Models with the System File Extension.
- Ask Before Showing - Choose this option to show a message box that
asks you which dialog box to use as you begin to save a file.

Excel Toolbars | Hide when system is activated
- Select this option to hide the regular Excel toolbars when the System is
activated. Any toolbars which are hidden are shown again when the
System is deactivated
- Hiding the Excel toolbars provides a less cluttered workspace as you work
in xlWorkbench. If you choose to hide the Excel toolbars when the System
is activated, you can quickly show them again at any time by using
the System Toggle to deactivate the System.
System Toolbars | Show when system is activated
- Select each toolbar that you want to be displayed when the System is
activated. System toolbars are hidden automatically when the System
is deactivated.

Enable shortcut keys
- Select this option to enable the System Shortcut Keys.
